Why We Love Calendula, Aloe and Witch Hazel

The Sudsy Soapery Natural Facial Toner

Some of our favorite ingredients for skincare at The Sudsy Soapery Natural Products™ are Witch Hazel, Calendula and Aloe. We include some or all of these ingredients in many of our body, hair and facial products. All of these ingredients are both natural and safe to use with the exception of a rare occurrence of an allergy. They also have many beneficial properties to the skin and body.

 Aloe

Organic Aloe Vera Gel

Calendula Extract has antifungal, anti-inflamatory and antibacterial properties. Studies have been done on the ability of both aloe and calendula in speeding the recovery of wounds. Some research has indicated that Calendula may be useful in the treatment of acne, more research is needed to give conclusive results. Calendula is used commonly in the treatment of eczema, although no medical studies have been done. Some studies have also indicated that calendula may help moisturize and firm the skin, yet still, no conclusive results have been found.

 Organic Witch Hazel

Organic Witch Hazel

On top of being, astringent and antibacterial, witch hazel also has antioxidant properties that may reduce cellular damage that leads to skin cancer and the appearance of wrinkles. Witch hazel removes excess oil from the skin without drying or irritation. We specifically choose to use American sourced, organic witch hazel because of the integrity of the extraction process.

 Calendula

Calendula Flower (we use the extract of this plant's petals)

All of these ingredients are naturally derived and extracted in a manner that preserves the natural properties. No harmful solvents are used in the extraction process. All of the elements put in by our Creator to nourish and condition the face!
