Altmodische Laugenseife aus Rindertalg ist geruchslos und sehr fleckenreduzierend, was sie zu einer guten Küchenseife oder einem Fleckenentferner für die Wäsche oder zum Reinigen von Pinseln macht. Sie können sie sogar als Spülmittel für die meisten Gerichte verwenden. Aufgrund ihrer entfettenden Eigenschaften wird sie oft als Seife für den Außenbereich verwendet.
