Not what I was expecting but everything I wanted

I was on the hunt for an alternative pine scented shave soap to Stirling Soap Co.’s “Evergreen Forests”. It’s a very good shave soap but this year I wanted something with a little more depth. I was on the fence between Bayberry and the “Pine & Cedar” . My wife convinced me to try the Bayberry and although it didn’t have the scent I was looking for, this soap is phenomenal!!! Definitely a Christmas scent and didn’t mind having it during the holidays. A rich lather and excellent glide, this is a top notch shave soap! I just ordered the “Pine & Cedar” now that we are in the deep winter months of New England. I will most likely purchase “Altitude “ now that it’s been released and have it for the Spring time. Sudsy Soapery will definitely have a place in my rotation for many years to come!

Great, great soap! Love the scent!

Sudsy Soapery soaps always lather well and have a lm outstanding post shave skin feel. This is no exception. The scent is a nice mix of pine forest, but not excessively piney, with a bay rumish thing going on. It’s really good stuff!

Really impressed

The Mango butter base is my favorite from SS, so I already knew what to expect there. This was a blind buy scent wise and I didn't really know what to expect. Off the tub I was impartial at first but after a few sniffs and uses it grew on me quickly. Lathered up the scent opened up a good bit and this has fall/winter written all over it and I am really enjoying the scent.

Many people want a scent that will clear a room but they are actually looking for a fragrance, not a shave soap. That's the beauty of SS soaps. While they may 'fit' a time of year, the scents don't stick with too long and won't clash with literally any aftershave or fragrance you choose - Bayberry leaning more fall/winter profile. That's a bonus, not a detractor. Less soaps (that don't clash) - more aftershaves for variety

Very good shaving soap

Sudsy Soapery shaving soaps are very good quality, providing excellent slickness and residual, and leave the skin feeling good afterwards. The mango butter formula started off as a gooey paste at first before sufficient water additions gave a shiny, slick, creamy lather that provided an excellent shave. The razor glided through very easily. The scent is a pleasant, standard sort of wintertime woodsy scent; not too strong but certainly present. It was fine, nothing outstanding. But the performance of the soap is tops.
